This page is dedicated to the Yamaha XS1100 motorcycle. I have two that I ride, a Standard model and a Midnight Special.

my '80 Midnight Special on California Highway 1

This is my 1980 Midnight Special XS1100 Yamaha.

Here are some thumbnails of the 2009 early summer ride. It was actually near Atascadero, CA., on US 101. We rode to Morro Bay, and to the James Dean Memorial on California Route 46 east of Paso Robles. The pictures are distorted in the thumbnails, but not full size.

Click on the thumbnails to see the "full size" pictures. Most of the pictures are 4 megabytes from the camera, so I had to cut them down. Email me if you see one you would like a copy of, and I'll send you the full size picture.

Don't mind the look of the thumbnails, as I used a 160 by 160 pixel format for them. It tends to distort the photos, but the full size photos are nice! These photos are from both my camera, and Penny's. Some of the best shots are from Penny just "snapping" a shot!!
